Wow..
Last night was incredible.
I took my little miata up to Grizzly Peak, twisting through the mountain road while revving her up to her sweet spot (5-6000rpm). I parked at a quiet place by the side of the road, popped open the top and found myself greeted by the most beautiful bay view:
Then, I leaned the seat back, snuggled up with a warm sweater, and looked up at the sky. I saw at least 5 meteors pass by...
Sometimes, a little peace is all I need.
Particularly when there are so many stressful things going on...

grizzly peak is such a good place to go at night -- especially when it's clear.
it might be a good thing that so few people know that.
@CreativeMinority - that's true.. should i black out that part? and call it a "secret location" instead?

there were a lot of people last night, actually. everyone was probably there for the meteor shower..
@CreativeMinority - here's a secret: i didn't take either of those pictures. LOL. but it was what I saw.. lol (well.. i was there for the first one, the second one, i just googled)

This makes me cry. I miss it there so much. I've been thinking about how much I miss living there, and how much I want to move back.
That used to be one of my routes... taking the 996 up there, and just sitting.
what settings did you use for the second shot?

It was gorgeous last night, I watched the shower in my backyard, on a blanket, and I saw 5-6 really bright ones

Northern California has a lot of great roads. There were times I'd just ride/ drive and just keep going and going. One time I ended up in Las Vegas.
To be honest, I really wouldn't mind living in the Bay Area again. There's a lot of things I miss.

I love driving around the northern (Marin) area. So many nice roads there.
Move back! I'm sure the Bay Area would love to have you back.

Sadly, it was overcast down here during the meteor shower so I wasn't able to see it. =(
