I really, really do.
But when I look into the mirror, I just don't see that person.

Sometimes I feel so far away from where I want to be that I can see no way of getting there...
Sometimes I feel so bored, that I have to do.. certain things... to feel excitement in my life
Sometimes I wish I had the courage to say "I love you" and "I want to be with you"
To a certain extent, I can see where it would be beneficial to modify ones' car. For example, safety and fit is a good reason. This means roll bars / roll cages, bucket seats, seat belts, hardtop, and side mirrors, as necessary. Maybe tires and brakes.
But beyond that, I don't understand why people modify their suspensions, wheels, engines, exhaust, body, etc...
Yes, I agree that it would make the car handle better or go faster or be louder.
But modifying takes the essence out of the car. Giving it too much power reduces the handling capabilities; making it too loud annoys the crap out of your neighbors; changing the body is well... usually not very pretty.
I'd rather spend that money on a few more tanks of gas and days on the track/autoX.
What's the point of improving your car, when you yourself isn't improving?
It's especially entertaining when I see "large" people with carbon fiber hoods on their Miatas. The weight difference between the CF hood and the original hood is like.. under 10lbs. Why didn't they just lose 10 pounds?
(In case you can't tell, yes, Anna is tired of going to Miata meets and having people tell her what she needs to mod.)
